Topic: TRUST IN THE LORD

Memorize: It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. Psalms 118:8‎

Devotional Reading: Psalm 28:1-9

Yesterday, i discussed about “Be Not Afraid” I explained that we should overcome our fears and worries by not allowing fear to dominate us. Today, i will discuss on “Trust In The LORD” You can only overcome your fears and worries if you put your trust and confidence in God and God alone.
We currently live in a world that does not support our faith in God. As a matter of fact, it discourages us from believing the word of God, why? It is because they do not understand what faith and confidence in God means.‎ Many people knowingly or unknowingly, have belittled God in their lives and have taken Him for granted. This is wrong. God is omnipotent, omniscience, and omnipresent, He is the almighty God, the doer of all great and mighty things. There is nothing created in the universe that was not created by Him, there is no impossibility with God.

To trust in God means to fully cast all of ones cares, worries, troubles, sicknesses and challenges on Him, believing that only He can do it. Men can promise you heaven and earth, especially when they are in power, some will go to the extent of swearing to win your heart, most of those promises end in disappointment. Remember that, the strength of man is limited, and can fail, ONLY God is unlimited and cannot fail.

Some people put their trust in the riches of their parents, some in the status of their family, whilst others have strong confidence in their traditions and belief system. All of these and any other earthly material will fail us and fade away, only God and His word will stand forever. The bible says arms of flesh will fail us. Jeremiah:17:5‎

Regardless of what might assail us in life, as believers we must never shift our confidence and trust in God to man, It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes; Psalms 118 9. David must have been disappointed by man many times and that was why he admonished us to put our confidence in God. He acknowledged that man will fail as far as man is still man, but only God cannot fail, He is the same yesterday, today and forever more. Hebrews:13:8

This month is declared as our month of Overflowing Blessings, believe the word of God that has been spoken, put your trust in God and have strong confidence in Him, Only He can do all things, He will do yours this month in Jesus name.

Man may promise and fail you, but God will never fail you.

I pray for someone reading this devotional that as you put your trust in God this month, He will not fail you, He will suppernaturally restore all your years of losses and give you an awesome testimony of Overflowing Blessings this month in Jesus name. ‎

Prayer point: O LORD, please help me put my trust and confidence in you all the days of my life in Jesus name.
